Insects are captured on an adhesive tape which does not produce any noise or project insects. The tapes should be replaced every 8 weeks to increase the rate of capture. It is a fully programmable device, which includes four speakers capable of covering an area of about 2.4 hectares. In terms of use, the device is completely effective during the first 2 months of operation. After this period, it loses much of its effectiveness due to the fact that the birds get used to the sounds, and as they do not see any predator in the vicinity they begin to assimilate that it is once again safe to be there. Thus, we recommend its use for short periods of time, particularly using it for a month, interrupting the use over the next month and so on, depending always on the period in which the birds become a plague.
